Hi, I’m Chris!
I quit my job in 2011, packed my rucksack and travelled the world. After a tour of Asia I ended my year-long trip in the South Island of New Zealand. Since then, my wanderlust has taken me to places I’d never imagined and changed my perspective on life.
Throughout my travels I’ve been chased by dogs in Bangkok, drank elk soup in Estonia, enjoyed an unplugged concert in London’s catacombs, walked down one of the prettiest streets in Poland, contracted dengue fever in Krabi, drank unpasturised beer in Prague, partied at Dimensions festival in Croatia and learned to surf in Moliets, and this is just the beginning.
It’s fair to say I fell in love with the sights, the smells and the feeling of travel. I starting blogging my travels as a way of relieving my itchy feet when I returned home, eventually quitting another job to pursue my dream career writing about travel in London.
I’ve built Make New Tracks to be an inspiration hub to inspire people interested in travel to go out and explore the world. My readers are like-minded people with one thing in common, an insatiable lust for seeing the world and all its colours.
For now, I’m based in the effervescent, enthralling city of London, bringing you the best short-haul adventures, long haul marvels and secret spots across the English capital and around the world.
If you want learn about the cheapest places to eat, the best accommodation options or the most exciting adventures across the globe, stick with me. I’ll bring you the best experiences, all told from a personal perspective.
The world is out there, let’s go get it.
